As famously stated by Steve Job: “A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them.” The paradigm now has shifted from the Consumer is trying to search for the right Product using Search Engine to where the Product finds the right Consumer with a Recommender System.
With an e-Commerce dataset provided by a German company specialising in marketing analytics and customer intelligence software, our project group has developed and tested a product recommender engine. This dataset was collected during Q1 2020 with more than 512K customers and 33K products.
With the Twitter dataset published by My Information Bubble (MIB), we wanted to see whether we can detect if the users are real, fake, or spam bots based on the tweets. This dataset was collected from 2013-2014 with more than 10K users and 10M tweets. Main highlights of the projects that we have done:

To combat with climate crisis and global warming, our Master project group has partnered with e.venture, a consulting company, in Germany to conceptualise a product that helps end-users to be more eco-concious with their spendings. The product is called carbono and its main functionalities are:
As part of a final project for our Data Warehouse module, we were asked to develop a data mart for the Sales department of Super-X company. The dataset was provided by our professor. The company’s aim is to analyze its business process with business intelligence tools to support internal improvement initiatives.
